2014 CPA Exam Changes: Where to Go to Find the Information

Every single year, there are updated rules and regulations. This can make it more difficult to take and pass the CPA exam, but it doesn’t have to be. Whenever you choose to take the exam, you will be given a lot of information and it is up to you to continuously check to find updates and other pertinent information. However, in some cases, your review course could also help you.

The American Institute of CPAs offers all types of information about the CPA exam each year. You will learn what is on the CPA exam, passing rates and can even find tutorials and sample tests. All of this information is excellent and free of charge, but they will also tell you of any updates or resources through their blog. You may also be able to get a copy of the CSO (Content Specification Outline) summary of changes for every year. In as early as May, you can also receive the CSO for the next year, as well.

This information is crucial to be able to pass the CPA exam on the first try. In some cases, the rules of taking the test may change or specific items on the test may change. You may be told to learn about one thing and then later it may be removed or changed. It is important to know these changes so you make better use of your study time and study the relevant subject matter.

Review Courses and In-Class Lectures

If you are studying for your CPA exam through courses at a local college, the college professors will have the information needed from the CSOs and will pass along the appropriate information. Therefore, there is little work for you to do, but study what you are given to study. However, those taking online review courses might have a bit more trouble.

If you want to study online, you will want to ensure that the materials you choose are current (within the same year as you are studying). For example, if you are studying in 2014 for the CPA exam you will be taking in 2014, you will want study books and materials printed in 2014.

You should also ensure that your study materials offer you some sort of free updates in case there are any changes made to the study materials or rules governing the test. Visit Black CPA Review for the latest updates about CPA Review exam.
