The CBD Solution

For all the harmful and toxic prescription drugs that occupy the market in search of pain relief, anxiety relief, and improved heart health, its incredible how overlooked some powerful natural remedies tend to be. Most of us are familiar with the awesome benefits of green tea, vitamin C, chamomile and other common health aids, but one very helpful natural supplement that’s sometimes slipping through the cracks is CBD Oil.

This one, quite frankly, is a no-brainer: With CBD Oil, pain-relief is low-risk and non-toxic. Additionally, CBD oil has the ability to kill destructive cells, and contains anti-anxiety as well as anti-seizure properties. If you’re not already familiar with what CBD is and how it works, then here is a brief 411 on all things CBD and why this in an important component to any health and wellness plan:

CBD is one of many compounds, known as cannabinoids, that are found in the cannabis plant. Oils that contain concentrations of CBD are referred to as CBD oils, and are the major non-psychoactive component of Cannabis sativa. As mentioned above, CBD oil is commonly used as an effective pain reliever. But, is it addicting? It works very differently from THC, it’s chemical counterpart. The human body has an endocannabinoid system (ECS) that receives, and essentially translates the signals it receives, from self-produced cannabinoids in the body (endocannaboids). CBD is able to influence those endocannaboids to avoid or minimize pain without having to create a “high” to combat it, such as what would occur with THC ingestion. Non-psychoactive, CBD assists the body’s ECS as opposed to trying to counter it when pain is present. This makes for a more natural, less physiologically stressful environment of pain relief. The World Health Organization, after reviewing tremendous evidence from both animal and human studies, concluded that “In humans, CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential.”

Other benefits, according to a 2013 study from the British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, include anti-inflammatory, anti-convulsant, antioxidant, antiemetic, anxiolytic and antipsychotic properties. Containing these abilities makes CBD a potential medicine for the treatment of everything from neuroinflammation, epilepsy, vomiting, oxidative injury, nausea, and anxiety, in addition to remedying more acute and less-serious issues such as common aches and pains.

Perhaps the greatest benefit of CBD oil is its ability to promote the death of unhealthy cells, enhancing the susceptibility of tumor cells to stick to the killer white blood cells called lymphokine-activated killer (LAK) cells. This makes CBD oil an especially nice addition to any wellness program for preventive care.
