A Cab Instead Of Drunk Driving

Both the state of California and the county of Los Angeles are broke. While you probably already knew this, it is also important to understand what this means for you as a driver. If you have gotten a ticket in the last several years, you have noticed that even minor violations now cost a ridiculous amount of money. The reason: the state and country need to get money somehow. This is why a speeding ticket can cost $1000 now, and a street-sweeping ticket now costs $60. With that said, all of this is chump change compared to a DUI. Because states need money, and politicians want to get reelected, they are always on the lookout for ways to raise funds that voters will get behind. Because people dislike drunk driving, they are okay with charging upwards of $10,000 in fees and penalties for a conviction. What does this mean to you? If you are going to drink, you need to take a Cab Whittier home.

Drunk driving isn’t just dangerous and irresponsible. it is also something that can quite quickly make you bankrupt. It doesn’t matter if it is a first time offense or if you were only .01 above the limit, they will arrest you, charge you and you will more than likely be convicted. If you would rather spend $10,000 and lose your license instead of spend $25 splitting a cab to get home at night, well, it won’t end up well for you. A simple Cab Whittier after a night of drinking can take all risk out of your evening.

The best way to make sure that you are properly ready for a night out at the bar or the club is to either have a designated driver who has no interest in alcohol, or have the number of a taxi cab company you can call up ready on your phone. Sometimes cab companies hang out outside the bars, other times you need to call them up. Regardless, if you plan on even having one drink you need to leave the driving to someone else, whether it be cab or designated driver.
